Panorama:Sugar-coated Food in Beijing & New York

This is the work of Parsons’ spring/summer China project. The theme of the project is "Panorama" and our group chose to make a photo book. All members are crazy about food! and we found there are some famous sugar-coated snacks both in BJ and NYC, so that we decided to make some unusual sugar-coated "food", only the most local characteristics of food would be our materials. Finally, we made an accordion book with a handmade case. we enjoy it sooooo much~~

该作品来自美国Parsons设计学院与中国多个艺术高校的春夏合作交流项目,主题是“全景”。我所在的小组选择用摄影集的方式来呈现,我们选择以具有北京和纽约特色的实物作为拍摄对象。受到的冰糖葫芦和纽约色彩缤纷的甜品的启发,我们用包裹糖衣的方式来表现文化和视觉的碰撞。最终成书是一本经折装的长卷,手工制作亚克力外壳。
